Town of Paris receiving $75,000 for pool repairs
The Town of Paris pools, open since 1974, are an essential part of the Sauquoit community, but age has taken a toll on them. Thanks to Sen. Joseph Griffo and Oneida County Legislator Mary Pratt, The Town will be receiving $75,000 in state funding to repair them.
Town Supervisor James Christian Jr. said without the state funding, the pools would be at risk of closing. The concrete pools need to be resurfaced.
The pool is open every day and offers free swimming lessons for children. It also offers water aerobics three days a week for seniors and provides employment for 16 part-time workers.
The Town of Paris subdivision is now online. Please look under DEPARTMENTS, Zoning Officer, and Documents.
